Spirit Recovery

His body was still, almost lifeless, as his fellow travelers on this journey through consciousness kept close eye on him. We can't afford to lose another. These studies have gone far enough already. Someday soon they would figure it all out. It would all make perfect sense. And Carl Jung would be proud, so very proud. The search for meaning coincided with the search for consciousness. His body is now lifeless, but somehow they were able to transcribe the electrical impulses from his brain, seemingly in absolute stillness, to a computer that would verify that indeed there was something common to the whole of existence, that there were no coincidences, that a body and mind stripped of its individual awareness is given a collective understanding of existence. Almost there. Just one more shot of this stuff. We're going to be famous for this, so famous.
