Driven by an unknown urge to make a mess of everything, he reached for his girlfriend, grabbing air. She was wise to his toxic nature. He was harmful to her health; in fact, he was harmful to everyone's health, and he was the only one who didn't realize this fact. He felt unloved and alone, but rather than improve his life, limiting his toxicity, he assumed it was the world around him that didn't make sense. Only a senseless world would have no interest in him, he thought. It wasn't until he watched his girlfriend shrug off his consolation when her father died of cancer that he realized just how senseless this world was.
